It is the type of game that you can pick up and play for 3 minutes or an hour. Match 3 plus rpg = lots of fun

Its an ok game but its super hard lots of grinding slow exp rate to beat a boss

The game is a great new way of puzzle/rpg and action. I would give it 5/5 if not for the huge amount of grinding required to lvl up. Please fix it and make everyone get this great game. Cheers -------- Wow I need to change the score to 3/5. Reason way too short. Just when I started enjoying it out of nowhere comes the end. Great game but way to short to pay for it.

Really interesting idea for a game - you have to think tactically to arrange your units for maximum offensive and defensive styles. Its a lot harder than it looks but VERY addictive! I am using an iPhone 3g and have no speed problems at all, the load time is also one of (maybe THE?) fastest of any game I have! Definately recommend this!!!

Fantastic match 3 RPG game. It is incredibly addicting. The game has simple RPG elements combined with a matching 3 objects battle system. You walk around getting into random battles as you continue moving the story along by playing missions. Controls for movement are done with an on screen d-pad with relative movement. To battle, you select, move, and combine units that match in color. There are even a couple different types of units available that you can use in battles that can give you a major advantage. The story for the RPG part of the game is pretty good too and the whole game becomes incredibly addicting after playing it for a while. RPG fans and even match 3 fans should be quite pleased with this game!

Is a great fantastic match RPG game... with manga drawing scene....and unique 3 match gaming board.. trust me...once start the game...u won stop it...

I was skeptical when I first saw the screenshots in a game forum. This simply look like a full fledge console game. But I was wrong. Chronos Gear is totally off the charts. Amazing graphics. I love the way the characters are drawn. Superb music which gels well with the games engaging storyline. The Connect-3 puzzle battle mechanic is simple awesome !!! I will highly recommend this game !!!

After some bumps with the game because of a bug, I got past the tutorial and am enjoying the game. Great for fans of puzzle quest or rpgs in general. If this Is the prequel, bring on the full game!

I have been playing for 2 hours straight since i got it, very addictive ! Top notch in every aspect of the game. I love the unique presentation of the manga art style and the puzzle game mechanism. The music is totally a class of it own too. For those 1 star reviewers, I have the same bug. Just re-install the game and it runs perfectly fine. I completed the game. It is stated under the "What New in Version" that you should start a new game before enter the tutorial. To the DEVELOPER, if you are reading this, please make the comment "START NEW GAME BEFORE TRYING OUT TUTORIAL" more prominent before your game is trashed down to single star rating. I dont think you deserve that. Keep up the good work though. Peace out.

Really fun game that I highly recommend to all who like strategy. New players could highly benefit from more direction instead of just being left roaming around. Enemies are leveling up with you, but more direction towards plot. Speaking of direction, there are some things happening in the battle that just havent been explained, like why some units attack sooner than others. Lastly, the game needs an OK button to confirm the move of every unit.

It starts with a familiar connect-3. Match 3 colors vertically to attack and horizontal to defense. And gradually, it introduces new units and special skills. And before I knew it, I have missed my train stop.... Very amazing gameplay and graphics. It is one of the best 2 bucks I have spent in app store.

This game is a true reinvention of the wheel so to speak. Ever since PuzzleQuest (which was great), when I hear "Match Three", I cringe. I bought this simply out of boredom as I have beaten most of the games I own. Good choice! Its an interesting, original game with great Rpg elements such as leveling up, and a (decent) plot. I dont buy puzzle games for the plot so even a decent one is fantastic. The plot gives you a reason to continue beating battle after battle. There are several different units that you will use in your army and each levels up separately. It gives you a reason to grind if you wish but, if your clever, you wont have to grind if you dont want to. I gave the game 5 stars because the developer deserves it considering this accomplishment. That being said, there are a couple of things Id like to see more of. 1. Equipment, for your troops and the hero. I know there are cards and such but Id like to see more. 2. More control of the stats. Basically if they add some customization and I think the developer will be able to release expansions and sequels that I, at least, would buy.

This might be my favorite game on the app store. And i dont say that lightly. I have easily 150 game apps, a majority of which are paid. Ive done 10 hour sessions with this game. Really. But my love for it is what brings its problems to the surface. It is very, very BUGGED at the moment. Im on something like the 5th or 6th boss, and if I switch up my army at all, my hitpoints drop inexplicably, from 52 to 18. I also cant switch the colors of my different units the way Im supposed to be able to. Many of the game powers dont work as advertised in the tutorials. Some of these seem by design, and some seem to be genuine bugs. Sometimes my heros power will inexplicably drop to 1/4 of his stated attack power; sometimes the units youve assigned dont show up at all. There are more bugs but they escape me at the moment. This is THE most addictive experience on the app store. Fix it, and the easiest no-brainer 5 stars EVER.

I used to work at a well known game company and have made a few RPG titles in the 16bit console days. Honestly, this game totally blew my mind away ! I could never expect such a high quality game here, at $2 ?? Thats crazy man ! I love the storyline which make some funny reference to "Godfather" movie. The time travel part does create a certain depth to the story. The orange robot sidekick is simply hilarious ! The music started with some sort of funky/jazz mix but it slowly evolves into a rich high tension orchestra which fits well with the storyline. Very well thought out. The battle is a very unique puzzle game. Form same colours in straight line to attack and horizontally to defense. Interesting and addictive ! The use of hero units and soul cards really adds so much more fun ! I cant be sure if you guys can make any money with $2 price tag. My experience of the RPG/Puzzle market is that its not a large market. I sincerely hope you guys make it and look forward to your next title !

I would write more of a review if I could actually play the game I purchased. Reading some of the glowing reviews makes me curious who wrote them. I should not have to reinstall a game to play it. I hate paying to be a beta tester.

This game has crashed on my s Many times, can you tell me why my hero is level 11 and still doing 7 dmg, every time the game freezes witch is usually in a boss stage you have to hard rest you iPhone then all your people are defaulted back to level on... So wile I am in the FINAL battle it freezes on me. Now I can even beat it I am very disappointed I payed for a game that was not tested well, I dont think these are legit reviews...
