Please add a difficulty setting becuz the enemies are already twice my lvl and it takes forever to lvl up! PLEASE!!!!!! The enemies that you find walking around shouldnt be that hard! I found one that was harder than the boss! And they give lil exp! Plz change this READ THIS DEVS

The normal encounters sometimes randomly count as you beating a boss.. Sometimes you get jipped of a turn, slowdown..the presentation isnt really coherent but I can still see great potential in it. Gameplay should be a little deeper. It needs more strategy. This has such great potential if it was expanded upon, cleaned up, and had some production value, this could be a STELLAR game. Although with its current drawbacks, it is hard to recommend. I commend everything but its shortcomings.

A bit buggy and the translation is terrible. Not "all your base" terrible, but still pretty bad. Not a bad pick up for $1.99. You could do worse. An update or two will increase my rating.

The basic gameplay is fine but there some interface issues that could use tweaks. One thing that really needs improvement are the unit colors, which all all too similarly colored and shaped. What were they thinking when they did that? The game crashed 2 out of 5 times playing, and that never happens to me with other games.

I had this game before the update. It has some bugs and I almost wanted to give it a 1-star rating. I complain to the customer support and was pleasantly surprised that the developer was quick to reply and offer work around solution. I hold back my 1 star rating and here it comes, the much promised update v1.03 ! Finally a bug free version of chronoSgear and I have been playing for 4 hours straight !! The battle puzzle is simply so addictive ! I love the manga art graphics. Hats off to the art team. You guys should really start selling this as comics ! The music is wonderfully composed and blending amazingly well with the story. To conclude, this game is well deserved of the 5 stars.

This game is actually pretty fun, *however* Ive resolved to deduct two stars if a game stops my music when I play it. So, this game is really a 5-star but loses 2 stars because of this one "feature".

Chronosgear is yet another match 3 game. It is different from games like Puzzle Quest, however, since you stack colored units with varying degrees of strength and health. Vertical matches provide offensive attacks while horizontal matches form walls for defense. The game is fine enough for $1.99, but there are some issues. First, balance is a major problem as bosses jump as much as 40hp from one mission right to the next. Moreover, the game world is not very interesting at all.Further, the writing is terrible. Maybe the biggest gripe with the game is that it is a straight copy of the Nintendo DS game, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. That game is quite good and of very high quality. However, even at its current price it is more expensive. Chronosgear is a good value for the money, and if you do not own a DS, then this game might be worth your time. However, if you do - spend the extra money and get the real deal - its worth it.

Update: * Seems like the experience earned isnt really balanced in this update. I battled an enemy quite a few lvls ahead of me but only got like one-tenth of exp needed to lvl. So even on hard enemies, it takes like 10 battles (10 min each) to lvl up. This makes the gameplay too repetitive, and will likely throw off some people as it takes too much grinding to actually get through the story. And theres nothing else to do in town.* As others have pointed out, there are some glitches that need to be fixed. Also the bulk of the game is on grinding as the difficulty of the enemy increases unfairly. Id rather have a shorter gameplay but actually get to go through the story without too much grinding. The grinding is a pain because there is not much to customize. So please lower the difficulty and to compensate for the shorter gameplay, may I suggest adding ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! Online and single-device multiplayer will make people actually want to keep playing! The players can use whatever they have gotten in the story mode for multiplayer. This opens way for an update for GameCenter and retina display. Im sure you will attract many more customers even if the sale ends! DEVELOPERS please consider my suggestions to make this a better game so you will have more happy customers and you can make more money ^_^

Nice, new approach to an rpg/puzzle game. I really enjoy it, although the difficulty is pretty high leading to a lot of level grinding. Recommended.

The other reviews pretty much cover it. My only major complaint is that its a bit too short! I hope more chapters or a sequel is coming.

I dont write many reviews but I had to for this gem. Easily one of the best games Ive ever purchased. Amazing.

Very short if it wasnt or the grinding, but overall a good unique game. If you like the demo then the main game is the same with more units. Few times had to grind in order to beat bosses

This game has the same gameplay style as the nintendo ds game called Might and Magic. You use combos with your infantry to defeat the enemy. Addicting as can be. This game has stolen a lot of my time....well...not so much as stolen it more like I sacrificed myself to ChronoSGear and it is worth it. It even comes equipped with mini games like the ds might and magic game, in which you must defeat an entire army within one round. Be it that your an rpg fan or a puzzler, you will love this game. Would love to see an HD version for iPad. Bug reports - Im on an iPad with iOS 4.2 Sometimes in battle your soldiers do not disappear. Ghosts remain behind. During a boss battle in the first official town, if you have the units that replenish health (soul) and there move is next, if the boss wipes you out it says defeated, but then your units fire anyways and your back to life again, the words defeated still remain on screen. If you have soldiers horizontal and vertical and only needing one more to make your move, as well as combine to make a wall within the same move, it doesnt automatically create both. Ive only played a few match three games like this, but this has got to be one of the all around puzzle games ive ever played before. Intuitive music, cools characters, unique twist on the storyline, perfect gameplay and great graphics as well. This game is a must buy for anyone who likes match 3 puzzle games!!

Good game play but still needs some gulches to be fixed and a sequel that will be better then the first one with a better ending
